Maritime and General Transport Law
Maritime and General Transport Law is a compulsory subject on the 4th year of Integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme.

This course introduces students about issues in the field of maritime and transport law (the basic institutions and other relevant contents from road, rail, air and maritime law and law of inland waterways) and transport insurance law.
Course Maritime and general transport law gives students a general overview and basic knowledge in the field of all branches of transport law, putting special accent on maritime law. It explains the place of transport law in system of legal and economic sciences; studies contracts of carriage (goods and passengers), transport documents and liability for damages in all modes of transport. Students are introduced with domestic and international transport of goods in maritime, inland waterways, road, rail and air transport. They also examine the protection of the rights of passengers in domestic and international transport by sea, inland waterways, road, rail and air. Pollution of the environment that may result from the use of different means of transport are also explained. Special attention is also given to processes and the role of insurance in transport law (basic concepts of insurance, compulsory insurance, comprehensive insurance).

Students can choose between two options how they will take the exam: by colloquiums or by taking exam at regular and special exam periods.
Insurance Law
Insurance Law is a compulsory subject on the 5tht year of Integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme - The Commercial Module.

Insurance in the modern conditions of life has a universal value and is fundamental in economic life. The aim of the course is that students acquire knowledge of the insurance contract, the rights and obligations of the parties of insurance contract, types of insurance, to realize the importance and necessity of insurance and to acquire knowledge that can be applied to real situations. This course studies the positive regulations which govern the subject matter of insurance which is then applied to the actual situation from the standpoint of insurance contract law.
Knowledge testing:
Students can choose between two options how they will take the exam: by solving cases and practical problems at classes or by taking exam at regular and special exam periods (In this case, students are preparing exam according to the published literature. Exam is oral).
Basics of Transport Law
Basics of Transport Law is an elective subject in the 3rd year of Professional Administrative studies.
Number of ECTS: 3,5
This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of transport law and transport insurance by which they acquire basic knowledge about the system of transport law and the relationship between modes of transport as well as the activities necessary for the functioning of transport in general. It also studies the fundamental institutes, sources of law, international organizations, contracts of carriage and liability for damage in road, rail and air transport. It also analyses warehouse contract and contract of shipment (forwarding) since the warehousing and forwarding are closely related to the transport activity. Special attention is given to transport insurance since it is a business also closely related to the transport.

Management of Public Transport
Management of Public Transport is an elective subject in the 1st year of Specialist Graduate Professional Study Programme.
Number of ECTS: 4
Subject Management of public transport offers students the knowledge and skills that will be used to solve issues from public transport. Students should apply their knowledge to practical cases and develop independence and critical thinking. Thematic units: the development of public transport, the term and status of the city - as a pace of transportation, types of transport in big cities, organization and ownership structure, the management of public transport, dilemmas on ownership concept of urban transport operators, financing of public transport, transport and ecology.
