Aims of the course
The main goals of this course are moving in the direction of acquiring fundamental knowledge and understanding the main components of the environment, and the pressures to which it is exposed, as well as the different concepts and ideas for sustainable environmental management. The aim of the course is to introduce students with the complex problem of the environment and sustainable development through theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Expected learning outcomes
After completing this course students will be able to:
- Recognize interrelations between ecology and nature protection
- Analyse the pollution of soil, water and nature
- Describe the pressures on the environment and sustainable development
- Distinguish environmental instruments and forms of financing environmental protection
- Recognize subjects of international politics and environmental law at European and national level
- Discuss existing environmental management systems
