Expected learning outcomes:

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the economic life dimension of individuals and society, and to analyze its role and importance
  • Summarize the economic history of the human race and identify the main historical periods as well as identify and categorize holders and trends in the historical development of economic ideas
  • Identify the basic elements of each stage of the economic process and analyze their implementation in the context of organic unity and simultaneity of all phases.
  • Identify and express the economic, political, social, environmental, cultural and other factors of successful development, as well as barriers to economic development
  • To judge national and international level of achieved economic development, evaluate the mechanism and criteria of allocation, and competently participate in the standardization of national and international economic policy.

Aim of the course

The aim of the seminar classes are upgrading and establishing the theoretical knowledge obtained through lectures. Students are free to choose the topic for their seminar paper and in written form express their own critical thinking on the perceived problems in the environment. Students will have the opportunity to develop their presentation skills and take part in debates on various topics.

After completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Independently find literature and use the database
  • Write an seminar paper
  • Present the seminar paper
