The goal of this course is to introduce students with different topics which, at the moment, present the most interesting topics and issues that affect legal profession around the world. There are number of issues which are to be covered during the course; the issue of liberalization of legal practices in the EU and elsewhere, the licensing of lawyers in the EU & the USA, the CCBE legal ethics code, different ethical dilemmas with regard to requirements arising out of lawyers' standards of professional conduct etc. An insight into attorney fee arrangements in the U.S. and the EU is provided together with the relevant caselaw of the ECJ and national courts.
