Welcome to the Chair of Economics web sites!

 

On this web sites you can find information about Chair personnel, courses, criteria, obligatory and additional literature as well as regulations and procedures for the assessment of learning outcomes.

 

At the Faculty, in addition to the other nine, the Chair of Economic Sciences operates as a basic organizational unit for teaching, scientific and professional work. Members of the chair are teachers and associates who have a contract of employment at the Faculty and teach or participate in teaching the same or related subjects. External associates can also participate in the work of the department as persons elected to the title and who participate in teaching at the Faculty, but without the right to vote.

 

The Chair has a president who represents the department and manages its work, and is elected from among the members of the Chair for two years. The Chair regularly and / or according to the indicated need holds meetings at which teaching, professional, scientific-research and other issues of importance for orderly and quality creation and implementation of plans and programs of faculty studies are discussed.

 

The Chair of Economic Sciences includes two groups of scientific disciplines and study subjects: economic (economic) and methodological-informational. Courses from these groups are taught by teachers who are members of the Chair in all study programs that take place at the Faculty of Law in Osijek. Although Chairs are usually established for several related subjects, in accordance with the program and needs of each study and the competencies of teachers, members of the Chair of Economic Sciences also give lectures in legal and other non-economic subjects.

 

According to the Statute of the Faculty of Law Osijek, the scope of work of the Chairs is:

  1. organization and performance of teaching, scientific and professional activities,
  2. proposing to the Faculty Council new study programs in the scientific field and scientific field from which the Faculty teaches,
  3. proposing changes and amendments to study programs in the content of subjects (compulsory and elective) that are taught or participate in the teaching of teachers and associates, who are members of the department,
  4. proposing the curriculum of teaching subjects for integrated, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate (doctoral and specialist) and professional studies in which he performs or participates in the teaching,
  5. care, monitoring and analyzing the implementation of the work plan, analyzing the results of work and taking measures to improve the work within the department,
  6. taking care of the training of its members, especially assistants and postdoctoral fellows,
  7. proposing training of its members in the country and abroad,
  8. preparation of proposals for the procurement of scientific and teaching equipment,
  9. proposing to the Faculty Council the appointment of a head of university studies students,
  10. proposing scientific programs and projects and development and professional projects,
  11. taking care of the coverage of classes, textbooks and manuals, and
  12. performing other tasks within the scope of its work.
