What do students say?
MATEJ ŠTOK
Why did we decide to volunteer? We were given an unusual opportunity during the seminar, to try something new instead of the classic seminar and PowerPoint presentation, to volunteer and assist in solving Green Phone cases, and like all students, we wanted to make it easier for us to quickly get good grades in the subject. By engaging in the first task, we were motivated in our desire to continue to cooperate with the Green Osijek Association because it enabled us to participate in practice, i.e. to use the acquired knowledge in the field of law to help solve cases and thus help others, but also ourselves in acquiring and deepening our knowledge in that field of law.
How has volunteering actually benefited us? It was our pleasure to participate in something that we consider beneficial both for us and the community, and most of all for nature, whose preservation is one of the fundamental and most important tasks that we, and everyone else, should focus on.
How did we like volunteering? The very word volunteering awakens the desire to help someone, associates us with something positive, good, a change. In our opinion, we are pleased to be given a chance to involve in solving Green Phone cases, and we believe that this will be of use to us in our future collaborations and teamwork. Through this form of cooperation, we have become inclined to find it easier and better to cope within the legal framework. The very concept of participating in volunteering fosters trust among people for teamwork, tolerance, social activity, and a sense of well-being. We feel that this volunteering has given us a unique opportunity to experience something new and has filled us with memories of beautiful and unforgettable images.
