A student union (Croatian: studentski zbor) is an elective body of representatives that serves to protect students’ interests and participates in decision-making through Faculty’s bodies, in accordance with the Act on Student Union and Other Student Organizations. The Student Union is responsible for organising programmes in the fields of education, culture and sports and for the promotion of student life, students’ socio-economic position and standard. Osijek’s law students are also very active in the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) branch, operating as a non-profit, non-political and non-government organisation of law students at the Faculty of Law in Osijek. The purpose of ELSA is to promote and advance communication between law students and young lawyers and to enrich the academic life of the Faculty, improve education possibilities and provide students with opportunities to learn about different legal cultures, systems and people around Europe and the world.

Another student association active at the Faculty is Legos, a non-profit, non-political and autonomous student organisation whose core activity is publishing the Students’ Journal of the Faculty of Law in Osijek.

Numerous sporting activities are organised by the sports association Pravos, which students can join for recreational purposes, while those who are a bit more ambitious can also test their skills through competitions.
