Brief course description
The Law of the Civil Procedure is the course which provides students with an overview of how civil legal disputes are resolved in the Croatian courts. Detailed overview of the procedural rules under which courts hear and decide disputes over the basic rights and obligations of man and citizen, over personal and family relations and in labour, commercial, property and other civil law disputes is provided.
There is little doubt that this particular course is of immense importance for everyone wishing to become a good lawyer because it represents the core of the legal profession given the fact that the vast majority of proceedings before Croatian courts are civil proceedings.
The course presents the mandatory part of the law study program. It could be also said that the number of ECTS points (8) assigned to the course reflects the importance of the course within the law study program.
As there is no English taught law study program at the Faculty of Law Osijek this course is taught in Croatian language exclusively.
