Course content:


Land register law in general. Different ways of publishing real estate rights in the world. Legal sources of the land register law. Concept and characteristics of the land register. Structure of land register. General ledger. Collection of documents. Collections of cadastral maps. Additional register. Principles of land register law. Land registry entries. Different types of real estate rights that are registered in the general ledger. Prerequisites of registration. Types of registration. The role of registration. Priority order of registration. The protection of real estate rights. Land registry procedure.

 

 

Course objectives:
 
The student should be able to present and explain the basic criteria for distinguishing land register law from related rights, to define fundamental institutions of land register law, to explain the protection if real estate rights.

 

The expected learning outcomes:
 
The student should be able to:

1. determine the difference between land register law and related rights;
2. define and explain fundamental institutions of land register law;
3.explain the protection of land register law.

 

General skills that will be acquired after passing the course:
 
a) general competencies:
- summarizing and identifying key facts and elements;
- systematic and meaningful argumentation of opinion;
- oral and written expression.

b) specific competencies:
- interpretation and differentiation of the basic concepts and institutes;
- recognition and understanding of the possibilities of applying the rules of land register law to specific situations.

 

Type of Teaching: Lectures and independent work

Student requirements: Regular attendance of lectures. Development of programming tasks.
