The Faculty of Law Osijek and the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung organized a Round table discussion on the introduction of the Euro and its implications for the Croatian economy and society, which was held on November 17, 2021 at 11 am.
Introductory speech : Tunjica Petrašević, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and Aleksandra Markić Boban, Director of the Office for Croatia, Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung.
The guests of the Round Table were Michael Faulend, Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank, who talked about the challenges that in Croatia will happen after entry into the Eurozone. Professor Boris Crnković, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek analysied foreign trade of the Republic of Croatia in the context of joining the Eurozone. Professor Kristijan Kotarski from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb talked about advantages and disadvantages of the introduction of the Euro and Assistant Professor Emina Jerković from the Faculty of Law, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek talked about legal aspects of the introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Croatia. The moderator of the Round Table was Dunja Duić, Vice Dean for Science, International Cooperation and Postgraduate Studies, Faculty of Law, Osijek.
