Životopis:

Tena Konjević, mag. iur., LL.M., rođena je u Slavonskom Brodu, gdje je završila osnovnu školu i Opću gimnaziju 'Matija Mesić'. Diplomirala je s prosjekom 4,98 na Pravnom fakultetu Osijek, Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku kao najbolja studentica generacije. Tijekom studija bila je dobitnica više Sveučilišnih i Dekanovih nagrada te Rektorove nagrade za studentski rad, kao i triju stipendija Zaklade Zlatko Crnić, posljednje dodijeljenoj kao najboljoj studentici prava u Hrvatskoj.

Asistentica je na Katedri za radnopravne i socijalne znanosti Pravnog fakulteta u Osijeku te je znanstveni istraživač iz područja Europskog radnog prava te ljudskih prava na Central European Academy u Budimpešti. Također djeluje kao hrvatska nacionalna ekspertica za European Trade Union Institute u Briselu za projekt pod nazivom 'Pravo na štrajk'.

Pohađa doktorski studij 'Central European Comparative Law Program' na Deák Ferenc Doctoral School of Law. Njezin doktorski rad, pod mentorstvom prof. dr. sc. Maria Vinkovića, usmjeren je na zaštitu prava upućenih radnika u lancima podugovaranja u EU-u, s naglaskom na mehanizme prevencije eksploatacije.

Završila je međunarodni poslijediplomski specijalistički studij (ILLM) iz europskog javnog prava pri European Public Law Organization (EPLO), s radom nagrađenim Luis Ortega Prize za najbolji rad godine, a pod mentorstvom prof. A. Ton van den Brink-a, Sveučilište Utrecht, Nizozemska. Također, završila je i poslijediplomski specijalistički (LLM) studij iz ljudskih prava pri Sveučilištu Miskolc, Mađarska, pod mentorstvom prof. dr. habil. Nóre Jakab. Istraživala je utjecaj Human Rights Due Diligence-a na zaštitu prava radnika.

Autorica je i koautorica više znanstvenih radova i poglavlja u knjigama iz radnog i socijalnog prava te ljudskih prava te aktivna izlagačica na međunarodnim konferencijama (Strasbourg, Venecija, Ženeva, Varšava, Ljubljana, Budimpešta, Luksemburg, Bangkok, itd.). Dobitnica je stipendija International Society for Labour and Social Security Law i CNRS – University of Strasbourg za znanstveni rad te za sudjelovanje na seminarima u Veneciji i Strasbourgu. U studenom 2025. godine dobila je nagradu za najboljeg mladog istraživača iz područja radnog prava dodijeljenu od strane ELTE Sveučilišta u Budimpešti.

Članica je uredništva časopisa 'CEA Law Review' i 'Yearbook of Contemporary Legal Challenges', te predsjednica organizacijskog odbora European Labour Law Young Scholars’ Conference 2024. godine. Praktično iskustvo stekla je u odvjetničkim uredima Wolf Theiss Croatia i Crowe Croatia, na Općinskom sudu u Slavonskom Brodu i na natjecanju Moot Court Croatia. Ovlašteni je sudski tumač za engleski jezik.

CV:

Tena Konjević, Master of Laws, LL.M., was born in Slavonski Brod, where she completed primary school and the 'Matija Mesić' General Gymnasium. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, with an average grade of 4.98, as the best student of her generation During her studies, she received several University and Dean’s Awards, the Rector’s Award for student research, as well as three scholarships from the Zlatko Crnić Foundation, the last of which was awarded to her as the best law student in Croatia.

She works as a Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Labour and Social Law Sciences at the Faculty of Law Osijek, and she is a researcher in European labour law and human rights at the Central European Academy in Budapest. She also serves as the project-based Croatian national expert for the European Trade Union Institute in Brussels.

She is currently enrolled in the 4-year doctoral programme 'Central European Comparative Law' at the Deák Ferenc Doctoral School of Law, Hungary. Her doctoral research, supervised by Prof. Mario Vinković, PhD, focuses on the protection of posted workers’ rights in subcontracting chains within the EU, with particular emphasis on mechanisms aimed at preventing labour exploitation.

She completed the international postgraduate specialist programme (ILLM) in European Public Law at the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), where her thesis received the Luis Ortega Prize for the best research of the year, supervised by Prof. A. Ton van den Brink, Utrecht University, the Netherlands. She also completed an LL.M. in Human Rights and Rule of Law at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, under the supervision of Prof. Nóra Jakab, PhD, researching the role of Human Rights Due Diligence in safeguarding workers’ rights.

She is the author and co-author of several scientific articles and book chapters in the fields of labour law, social law and human rights, and is an active presenter at international conferences (Strasbourg, Venice, Geneva, Warsaw, Ljubljana, Budapest, Luxembourg, Bangkok, Brussels, etc.). She has been awarded research scholarships by the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law and CNRS – University of Strasbourg, and has participated in specialised seminars in Venice and Strasbourg. In November 2025, she received the award for Best Early Career Researcher in Labour Law, granted by ELTE University in Budapest.

She is a member of the editorial boards of the 'CEA Law Review' and the 'Yearbook of Contemporary Legal Challenges', and Chair of the Organising Committee of the European Labour Law Young Scholars’ Conference 2024. She has gained practical experience at the law firms Wolf Theiss Croatia and Crowe Croatia, at the Municipal Court of Slavonski Brod, and through the Moot Court Croatia competition. She is also a certified court interpreter for the English language.
