This privacy statement provides information about the processing and the protection of your personal data
1. Introduction
The UNIPAR Project Consortium (hereinafter: Consortium), represented by the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Law Osijek, is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. The Consortium collects and further processes personal data pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
Data processing is fully in line with the Art 15 of the Grant Agreement Project 101137859 — UniPAR.
This privacy statement explains the reason for the processing of your personal data, the way we collect, handle and ensure the protection of all personal data provided, how that information is used and what rights you have in relation to your personal data. It also specifies the contact details of the responsible data controller.
2. Why and how do we process your personal data?
Purpose of the processing operation is to facilitate subscription to the UNIPAR Network. The UNIPAR network comprises judges, practitioners, public and civil servants and others. The network aims to inform its stakeholders about all events and Project results. The purpose of the network is for its stakeholders to use and benefit from the Project results. The network also enables the establishment of contact between stakeholders regarding the exchange of experience and practice. This contact can be made through the Consortium as the intermediary and by the specific consent of the requested party. Your personal data will not be used for automated decision-making including profiling.
3. On what legal ground(s) do we process your personal data?
We process your personal data because you have given consent to the processing of your personal data for the specific purpose of subscribing to UNIPAR Network (Article 5(1)(a) of Regulation General Data Protection Regulation).
4. How long do we keep your personal data?
User data is kept five years after the final payment on the UNIPAR Project.
5. Who has access to your personal data and to whom is it disclosed?
Access to your data is provided to the Project Coordinator for carrying Project activities. Your data is also provided to the Project’s Consortium staff for carrying out specific project activities related to disseminating Project-related news and events. Only authorised staff have access to the personal data available via UNIPAR Network. The information we collect will not be given to any third party.
6. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
You have specific rights as a ‘data subject’ under the General Data Protection Regulation. As regards this processing operation, you can exercise the following rights:
- Right to access (Art 15)
- Right to rectification (Art 16)
- Right to erasure (Art 17)
- Right to restrict processing (Art 18)
- Right to data portability (Art 20)
You have consented to provide your personal data UNIPAR Project Consortium for the present processing operation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by notifying the Data Controller. The withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdraw consent. You can exercise your rights by contacting the Data Controller or, in case of conflict, the Data Protection Officer.
