COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

Acquaintance and training of students for creative and active participation in making business decisions and entering into commercial transactions. Expanding and deepening knowledge about the process of negotiation and conclusion of legal deals in business (trade) transactions. Special attention is paid to training students to responsibly prevent and solve risks and problems that arise in Croatian and international commercial transaction law. Emphasizing the importance of the correct choice of contractual solutions from several offered contracting options and performance assurance instruments. Application of acquired knowledge to specific factual and legal situations for the purpose of reducing risks regarding the rights and obligations of all contractual apartments in a business relationship. Expanding knowledge about the harmonization of commercial law within the EU and other relevant processes in the EU with effects on modern commercial law.

Course learning outcomes

After passing the exam from the course, the student will be able to: 1. Expand, update and improve acquired knowledge with current events in autonomous practice in business (commercial) law. 2. Systematically analyze negotiations and negotiation techniques and conclusion of contracts in the context of the course of concluding trade deals. 3. Critically analyze and independently recognize research and practical problems regarding the institute of domestic business (commercial) law in relation to concrete international and national solutions. 4. Interpret and choose the best commercial transaction, i.e. payment insurance instrument in order to find the most appropriate solution in a specific situation. 5. Responsibly apply and connect the current business practice to the concrete factual and legal situation.,
