Course content

The right to health Historical development Contemporary principles of public health The conflict between the autonomy/dignity of the individual and the common good International Law and Organizations Promoting Public Health Domestic legal regulations The role of social workers in realizing the right to health

Course learning outcomes

1. Adopt knowledge from social, humanistic, biomedical and other sciences regarding this category of rights; and think critically about them; 2. Advocate the human right to health in everyday life; 3. Get involved in public debates related to the creation of public health policies and strategies; 4. Apply relevant international documents and domestic regulations in accordance with the principles of social work; 5. Evaluate existing public health policies and their results.,
