Course content |
Social and economic justice in social work; The relationship between social/economic justice and human rights; History of human rights; Generations of human rights; Human rights - legal framework: international regional and national regulations and documents; Human rights - institutional framework: international, regional and national organizations (institutions) for the protection of human rights; Especially vulnerable groups of people (women, children, people with disabilities, homosexuals, elderly people); Cultural context and human rights; Human rights and human needs; Practical application of human rights in social work. |

Explain the role of the idea of social and economic justice in social work, Analyze people's problems from the perspective of human rights in everyday practice, Define groups of people whose human rights are most often threatened, Connect global with local problems, and private problems with public factors, Recognize the connection between human needs and human rights in everyday work, Interpret the protection and realization of human rights in the context of a specific culture and environment, Protect, realize and represent human rights by referring to the legal sources of human rights, |
