COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content
1. Introductory part 2. Liability of legal entities for criminal acts in international, European, and comparative law 3. Models of criminal liability of legal entities 4. Criminal responsibility and sanctions according to the Law on Liability of Legal Persons for Criminal Offenses 5. Criminal proceedings against legal entities
Course learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to, students should be able to: 1. define the types of responsibility of legal entities for punishable actions, 2. describe the development of the responsibility of legal entities for criminal acts in international, European, and comparative law, 3. recognize and critically evaluate different models of criminal liability of legal entities, 4. interpret Croatian criminal and criminal procedural law on legal entities in accordance with the basic principles of European and international law, 5. apply knowledge of the principles of criminal liability of legal entities to relevant laws and court practice in criminal proceedings against legal entities, 6. to connect the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights on the fundamental rights of legal entities with their procedural rights according to the Criminal Procedure Act and the Act on Liability of Legal Persons for Criminal Offences ,
