COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

General about the mixed procedure of the continental European countries in which the elements of the disputes of the parties and the elements of the official regulation of state bodies are intertwined. On the tendency to introduce accusatory procedural forms in the criminal proceedings of continental European countries. General about the Anglo-American accusatory criminal procedure as a dispute between equal parties before a passive court. Comparative overview of the regulation of the previous procedure (German, French, and Italian law). Comparative overview of the arrangement of the hearing (German, French, and Italian law).

Course learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. To describe and interpret the similarities and differences between continental European and Anglo-American procedures , 2. To analyze the characteristics of the stages of criminal proceedings in certain European countries, 3. To identify the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of accusatory procedural forms in the criminal proceedings of continental European countries, 5. Critically reflect on the trend of introducing the prosecutor-state attorney's investigation into continental law, 5. Describe and explain different forms of citizen participation in criminal justice,
