COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

Objectives of the course Within the scope of the subject EU external and internal security law, an insight is given into both the internal and external dimensions of EU migration law and policy (the area of freedom, security and justice) and into EU foreign and security policy issues. internal security of the EU. The aim of the course is to train students to understand the migration process in the EU and its impact on EU law, the importance of respecting human rights in the context of EU migration law and the importance of EU foreign and security policy as a factor that determines the importance of the EU in the world. Subject content • Basic concepts and legal problems related to foreign relations • A network of contracts and agreements concluded as part of external relations • Common foreign and security policy • European security and defense policy • Area of freedom, security and justice (Asylum, Immigration, Schengen) • Human rights

Course learning outcomes

Explain the historical development of EU external relations and the area of freedom, security and justice., To define the basic terms of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU and the areas of freedom, security and justice., Distinguish the institutions and instruments used in the field of migration law and EU external relations., Connect basic concepts with practical examples from the field of internal security and external relations., Apply acquired knowledge to solving practical problems (solving hypothetical subjects)., Critically analyze the legal regulation of the EU and the judgment of the Court of the EU.,
