COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

The course is aimed at introducing students to the basic concepts of criminology related to the implementation of criminal procedures, primarily during the preparatory part of criminal proceedings. Students acquire operatives knowledge from scientific fields important for clarifying the factual situation and concretization of the legal norm in criminal and other proceedings. Part One, Introduction The notion of criminology Subject and purpose of criminology Forensic system Development of Croatian criminology Criminal proceedings as research and exposure Versions - criminal hypotheses International criminal cooperation Part Two, Criminal Tactics Initial knowledge of the crime Inquiries, general and special Search activities and crime. records Searches Defendant interrogation Examination of witnesses Inquest, reconstruction and experiment Recognition Taking fingerprints and other body parts Expertise and professional assistance Part Three, Forensic Science Criminal identification Criminal traceology, dealing with clues

Course learning outcomes

After completing and passing the course, students should be able to: Define the basic terms, subject and tasks of criminology, Explain the historical development and affirmation of criminology as a science, Analyze basic methods in criminology, Indicate the basic problems of legality of the execution of certain procedural actions, Analyze the objective and subjective side of the crime through the prism of tactical-technical and methodological knowledge of criminal science,
