Legal and political concept and position of the lawyers in national and comparative law - landmark decisions of the European Court of Justice concerning freedom to provide services and the right to establishment – entry into the legal profession, freedom to advertise services, freedom to form multidisciplinary partnerships - Transposition of European rules into Croatian laws - market of legal services – practical aspects of lawyering business |
| Course learning outcomes |
After completing the course, students will be able to interpret the regulatory-normative framework for the legal profession in the Republic of Croatia and compare the way the legal profession is regulated in Croatia with the way the legal profession is approached in other member states of the European Union and elsewhere in the world., After completing the course, students will be able to critically analyze phenomena on the domestic market of legal services and notice inconsistencies in the application of ethical rules., After completing the course, students will be able to state and interpret the most important decisions of the European Court of Justice regarding the role and importance of the legal profession in the context of the application of market competition rules to liberal professions., |
