COURSE DESCRIPTION |

Course content |
Legal English discourse and legal terminology analysis as regards the texts Wills and Inheritance, The European Court of Justice, Conflict of Laws, Types of English Civil Law, Contract, Negligence, Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Forms of Business Organization in the US, More complex grammatical structures such as conditionals, participles and past infinitives are introduced. Grammatical structures and the sequence of tenses in informal speech are practiced. Emphasis is placed on developing writing skills by summarizing of the texts. |

distinguish legal English text from that in general language , apply appropriate legal terminology in spoken and written communication , prove understanding of legal texts by answering questions, translating and retelling , correct application of grammatical and lexical structures typical for the English language of the legal profession in the field of criminal, constitutional, family and international law , independently write a summary of the text in legal English, |
