| Course content |
Legal German discourse and terminology analysis as regards the texts Eine österreichische Anklageschrift, Grundsätzliches über das schweizerische Strafrecht, Strafdelikte im Internet. More complex grammatical structures and the use of modal verbs in the subjunctive preterite and plusquamperfect are introduced. Prepositions with the genitive case specific to the legal German language are practiced, as well as substitute structures for the passive voice and instrumental and relative clauses. |

distinguish legal English text from that in general language, apply appropriate legal terminology in spoken and written communication, prove understanding of legal texts by answering questions, translating and retelling, correct application of grammatical and lexical structures typical for the legal German language as regards criminal and criminal procedural law, independently analyze the legal German text, identify key words and write a summary of the text, |
