COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

Students are introduced to the basic concepts of transport law and transport insurance, which enable them to acquire basic knowledge about the system of transport law and the relationship between individual types of transport, as well as the activities necessary for the functioning of transport as a whole. The essential features of each mode of transport are analysed: road transport, rail transport, air transport, maritime transport and inland waterway transport. Important legal aspects of transport are studied, such as the sources of transport law, the legal regime of responsibility of the carrier, contracts in the field of transport, legal relations in transport as well as specific institutes of transport law. Since transport activity is accompanied by other important economic activities, forwarding, forwarding contracts and contracts on storage of goods are also studied. The law of transport insurance is also studied in particular.
