1. Introduction to the Course 2. State: A) The concept of the state. State territory. Population. Citizen. Citizenship. The state and the international community. State and international law. The state and the church. B) The purpose of the state. Organization. State organs. Legislation. Parliamentarism. Legislative procedure. Government. Administration. Bureaucracy and bureaucratism. Courts. C) Sovereignty. Popular Sovereignty. Social Conflicts. Political Parties. State and ethnic communities. State and nation. D) Theories about forms of state and types of political rule. E) Historical types of states. 3. Law A) Social Norms. Legal Norms. B) Legal Acts. Principle of legality. C) Jural Relations D) Legal Systems. 4.The Legal Technique. 5. Theories of Law.

Course learning outcomes

After taking the course and passing the exam, students should be able to: 1. Recognize different types of states, both modern and those of the past; 2. Differentiate and recognize the functioning of basic institutions of states and international organizations; 3. Distinguish various types of legal norms; 4. Define and differentiate the basic concepts of law; 5. Analyze existing sources of (positive) law and their use.,
