COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

The Law of the Civil Procedure is the course that provides students with an overview of how civil legal disputes are resolved in the Croatian courts. A detailed analysis of the procedural rules under which courts hear and decide disputes over the basic rights and obligations of man and citizen, over personal and family relations, and in labor, commercial, property, and other civil law disputes is provided throughout the course. There is little doubt that Civil Procedure is the course is of immense importance for every student wishing to become a good lawyer because it represents the core of the legal profession given the fact that the vast majority of proceedings before Croatian courts are civil proceedings. The course presents the mandatory part of the law study program. It could be also said that the number of ECTS points (8) assigned to the course reflects the importance of the course within the law study program. As we do not have English-taught law study program at the Faculty of Law Osijek this course is taught only in Croatian.
