On May 13, 2026, at the Family Centre in Osijek, as part of the activities of the Central European Social Policy and Social Work Network (CESPASWON), in cooperation with the Faculty of Law Osijek, the professors conducted a full-day workshop on the topic of Family Group Conferencing.
During the workshop, participants from the social welfare system were introduced to the key concepts of Family Group Conferencing as a method of work, participated in practical case-based exercises, and ultimately provided very positive feedback regarding this approach.
As part of the Advanced Counseling course, graduate-level social work students were also introduced to the Family Group Conferencing method and acquired the basic knowledge required for its implementation.
Assoc. Prof. Anita Barišić, PhD, as the local coordinator of the CESPASWON network at the Faculty of Law Osijek, organized these activities together with professionals from the social welfare system in cooperation with the Head of the Family Centre, Alenka Aladrović Deklman, Bachelor of Social Work, and assistant Lara Rašić, on the occasion of the International Day of Families and within the activities of the Central European Social Policy and Social Work Network (CESPASWON).
We would like to thank Professors Andrea, Hubert and Draško for sharing their knowledge and many years of experience in the field of Family Group Conferencing, as well as the social work students and professionals from the social welfare system for their participation.
