International Doctoral Conference Sustainable Development – Challenges of the Future in Research, 26 – 27 May 2022

PROGRAM

The International Doctoral Conference  Sustainable Development – Challenges of the Future in Research is organised and hosted by the Faculty of Law Osijek University Postgraduate Doctoral Study Programme in the Scientific Area of Social Sciences, the Field of Law and Doctoral School of the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek. The Conference will provide a platform for young researchers to present their research and receive a valuable feedback, to learn on wide topics related to sustainable development and to network with the colleagues, make friendships and find future collaborators.  

CALL FOR PAPERS

The UN Agenda for Sustainable Development was adapted on the United Nation Summit in New York in September 2015. The Agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and represents a key platform for addressing today’s most important challenges in their interconnected economic, social and environmental dimension. This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet prosperity, peace and partnership, expecting from the states to engage and to ensure that “no one will be left behind”. The Agenda 2030 calls on the states to build a practical and ambitious national solutions to ensure its overall implementation, while involving all stakeholders of sustainable development – state and local authorities, civil society, academia and private sector.

WHO CAN APPLY postgraduate students, including those who completed their postgraduate studies less than a year ago.

The proposed research topics on sustainable development should stimulate discussion among participants in a wide range of disciplines and methodologies, including the interdisciplinary research.
