Faculty of Law Osijek, Study of Social Work organizes a summer school lasting 65 hours, which will be implemented in two parts. The theoretical part will be held in Osijek from September 2 to 6, 2024, and the practical part will be held in the local community where the participants of the summer school normally study.

During their stay in Osijek, participants will learn about the factors that make it possible to get out of the circle of poverty, about EU policies and mechanisms that are aimed at children at risk of poverty, about evidence-based interventions for working with children at risk of poverty, and will develop an intervention in the community which address the topic of child poverty.

Work on planning and implementing the intervention will take place in smaller groups of four participants. With the support of the local association, a group of four participants will implement the planned intervention in their place of study by October 25, 2024.

Participants of the summer school do not pay a registration fee for participation, meals would be provided by the organizer, and upon completion of the summer school, participants will receive a certificate of participation with the described learning outcomes. Participants who do not study in Osijek will be provided with accommodation and meals, as well as co-financed transportation.
