Matko Guštin, mag. iur., asistent na Katedri obiteljskog prava i polaznik Doktorskog studija Pravo Pravnog fakulteta Osijek, zajedno s mentoricom prof. dr. sc. Brankom Rešetar, sudjelovao je na Children’s Rights Research Symposium u organizaciji Children’s Rights European Academic Network i Children’s Rights Knowledge Center (KEKI). Simpozij je održan na Pravnom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Antwerpenu 4. i 5. prosinca 2023.

Središnja tema simpozija bila je „Critical Approaches to Children’s Rights“ kroz koju su doktorski studenti s različitih europskih sveučilišta i područja interesa (pravo, sociologija i slično), zajedno s mentorima (interdisciplinarno) raspravljali o brojnim pitanjima vezanima uz zaštitu prava djece.

Matko Guštin izlagao je temu doktorske disertacije s posebnom osvrtom na temu „Prava djece u postupku posvojenja u međunarodnim dokumentima i judikaturi Europskog suda za ljudska prava“. Matko Guštin, Master of Laws, teaching assistant at the Department of Family Law and Ph.D. student of the Doctoral Study of Law at the Faculty of Law Osijek, together with the supervisor, Branka Rešetar, Ph.D., Full Professor, participated in the Children’s Rights Research Symposium organized by the Children’s Rights European Academic Network and Children’s Rights Knowledge Center (KEKI). The symposium was held at the Faculty of Law, University of Antwerp on December 4 and 5, 2023.

The central topic of the symposium was “Critical Approaches to Children’s Rights”, through which Ph.D. students from various European universities and fields of interest (law, sociology, etc.), together with supervisors (interdisciplinary), discussed numerous issues related to the protection of children’s rights.

Matko Guštin presented the topic of his doctoral thesis with a special focus on the topic “Children’s rights in the adoption process in international documents and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights”.
