COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course content

Methodology. Organizing. Public management. Innovations in administration. Management efficiency. Administration as a public service citizens. Ethics of a public servant.

Course learning outcomes

After passing the exam, students are expected to be able to: 1. define and explain basic terms in public administration, 2. recognize the role of administration in society, which is determined by general social development, 3. understand the role of citizens in administration, 4. explain organizational theories with regard to the time period of appearance and in relation to relatedness of ideas, 5. clarify the concept of organizational structure, 6. list and explain the tasks of state administration bodies in the Republic of Croatia, 7. define the term organizational culture, 8. analyze modern tendencies in administration, 9. analyze the development of public administration in Croatia and public administration reforms, 10. to support the acquired theoretical knowledge with examples from practice, etc.,
