"Okoliš i održivi razvoj" je izborni predmet na petoj studijskog godini Integriranog preddiplomskog i diplomskog studija Pravo na Pravnom fakultetu Osijek. Predmet je prvenstveno posvećen ciljevima i instrumentima zaštite prirode/okoliša i ulozi razvojnog koncepta "održivog razvoja" (sustainable development) u očuvanju zdravog i sigurnog okoliša za buduće generacije. Predmet obuhvaća opis stanja prirode/okoliša danas u svijetu, kao i u Europskoj uniji i Republici Hrvatskoj, te razloge, ciljeve i instrumente zaštite prirode/okoliša i teorijske odrednice razvojnog koncepta "održivog razvoja", osnovne stupove, ciljeve i instrumente realizacije koncepta i glavne pokazatelje (indikatore) ostvarenja napretka u primjeni koncepta.

Nakon završenog kolegija student će moći: 1. Razumjeti složenu međuovisnost društva, gospodarstva i okoliša (prirode i antropomorfnog okruženja) 2. Identificirati glavne sastavnice prirode/okoliša i pritisaka/uništavanja kojima su izloženi 3. Koristiti indikatore, statičke podatke i grafičke prikaze za analizu i sintezu uočenih i spoznatih okolišnih problema 4. Razumjeti osnovna teorijska polazišta koncepta održivog razvoja i njegova osnovna tri stupa (ekonomija, ekologija, socijalna pravednost) 5. Kritički koristiti informacije temeljem kojih se donose odluke i predlažu rješenja za zaštitu prirode/okoliša i realizaciju koncepta održivog razvoja 6. Razlikovati instrumente zaštite prirode/okoliša (pracvna regulacija, znanost i tehnologija, ekonomski instrumenti, odgoj i obrazovanje) i načine upravljanja i financiranja zaštite okoliša ,

"Environment and Sustainable Development" is an elective course in the fifth year of the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Studies in Law at the Faculty of Law in Osijek. The course is primarily dedicated to the goals and instruments of nature/environment protection and the role of the development concept of "sustainable development" in preserving a healthy and safe environment for future generations. The subject includes a description of the state of nature/environment today in the world, as well as in the European Union and the Republic of Croatia, as well as the reasons, goals and instruments for the protection of nature/environment and the theoretical determinants of the development concept of "sustainable development", the basic pillars, goals and instruments of the realization of the concept and the main indicators (indicators) of achieving progress in the application of the concept.

After completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Understand the complex interdependence of society, economy and environment (nature and anthropomorphic environment) 2. Identify the main components of nature/environment and pressures/destruction to which they are exposed 3. Use indicators, static data and graphical representations for the analysis and synthesis of observed and known environmental problems 4. Understand the basic theoretical starting points of the concept of sustainable development and its three basic pillars (economy, ecology, social justice) 5. Critically use information on the basis of which decisions are made and solutions are proposed for the protection of nature/environment and the realization of the concept of sustainable development 6. Differentiate between the instruments of nature/environmental protection (labor regulation, science and technology, economic instruments, upbringing and education) and ways of managing and financing environmental protection,
