1. Studenti se upoznaju s obilježjima i definicijom intervjua kao metode prikupljanja podataka (dijagnostičkog intervjua). 2. Kroz vježbe i predavanja uočavaju najvažnije momente koji utječu na subjektivnosti i valjanost procjene prije, u tijeku i nakon intervjua. 3. Objašnjavaju se tri temeljne faze intervjua i njihovi elementi. 4. Praktično provode dijagnostički intervju specifične namjene na primjerima u tijeku vježbi i diskutiraju razlike intervjua u socijalnom radu sa specifičnim vrstama stranaka i korisnika socijalnih prava (funkcionalni intervju, forenzični intervju, intervju s traumatiziranom osobom, intervju s djetetom i sl.). Upoznaju se s ulogom osobe u pratnji u tijeku intervjua u socijalnom radu.
